I can not rate this, because it is a good product, but I have not used it because one of the two batteries delivered was defective. I contacted Amazon and did not receive a reply. I guess Amazon is great for books, not for other products.
So, probably a 5 for the product, but a 1 for delivering a defective battery and not responding.
I’ve never used a portable drill before and am now converted. The product was clean and well-packaged. In use it is well-balanced and more than powerful enough for the basic carpentry I do. The small size is a plus, since one of the early jobs was to disassemble some built-in cabinetry — dentistry at best. Very pleased.
Small, compact, light weight, & very powerful. Fits into places most drills won’t. 1/2 inch. chuck very useful. Charges quicker than advertised. Needs a wrist strap.
Have been using the Makita drill for a couple of weeks and it has done very well. Obviously I had anxieties about investing in a re-conditioned drill but am very satisfied. The item does not even come cleaned up like others have mentioned but no matter, it gets dirty when you start using anyway. Good purchase for those looking to cut some costs.
Very satisfy and happy with the performance of this drill. The light that comes with it is a plus.
