This Makita battery charger works as expected.
The shipping package was POOR!!! The box was oversize with one piece of bubble wrap just thrown in the same box, not wrapped and taped around the charger. Both the charger and the loose bubble wrap just bounced around in the box. I feel lucky that no damage was done to the charger. It must have been late in the day and the shipping clerk was tired, unmotivated to do a good job, upset with company management, or underpaid.
After bounce testing the charger that came in the kit, i needed a charger fast! Went to the “big boxes” and they wanted $80.00 for the same charger so i came home and searched the internet and found this. Even with FREE shipping it was at my front door in no time. I use my drill and flashlight quite often at work so i need a good charger and this is it.

THE ONE THING I DON’T LIKE IS YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG WHEN NOT CHARGING
We were annoyed to find out that our new Makita NiMH battery didn’t fit in our “old” charger. This one fits all Makita stick and works great.
Does a fine quick charge as well.
We go through these chargers frequently. I do not know if we are doing something or if they are not built correctly. They need more fusing to protect the unit. Usually batteries go out before the charger but this one is reversed.
