I have owned the 14.4 volt Milwaukee impact driver for about two years and it has amazing torque for its voltage.
But what I really like about it is the batteries….. they last a good long while in use and even after months in the closet, they still hold a useful charge.
So when it came time to but a new driver/drill I got over my love affair with high-voltage no-name drills and decided to buy this 14.4 volt model because it uses the same batteries as the impact driver. The unit is powerful and, perhaps more important, compact. The battery can be installed backwards which is useful in tight quarters. And it has plenty of torque for all drilling tasks and most driving jobs. For any driver chores this can’t handle, out comes the impact driver.
Why four stars? No light, which is a very handy feature when your hands are full and you’re working in the dark.
