I had two of these, both look like new as I lightly use them. One died. The other still working. Manufacturer's defect is the only reason I can think of.

I own a large selection of Milwaukee tools and a few Hilti tools. IMO, getting Milwaukee products are like getting Hilti products for a little less money. However, if you work in punishing, demanding conditions everyday, all day, then Hilti may be the way to go for the very long haul. For 90%, Milwaukee is a good bet

If you have 18vt Milwaukee tools and work them hard you can expect the life of your NiCad batteries to be about 1.3 years. So I'm strongly suggesting that for the every day abuser of cordless tools look in to the Lithium ion batteries (5 years 2000charges) so far after 1.5 years still fat and strong. I bought this 2 pk. to load into minor use tools in the heat of battle. Bought at the right price so they are (Ha ha disposable) Hoping for better life but not expecting it.

I always do my research before I make a purchase and I don't think you'll find these cheaper anywhere else.

This product is shipped in good condition and is everything that is described. I have owned Milwaukee tools for 7 years and this is the original product.
